Research Assistant position:

Looking for an undergraduate or graduate student that meets (most of) the following conditions:



ŸGood command of English (reading, writing, translating)

ŸAbility to work independently

ŸResponsible

ŸGood computer knowledge

ŸMale



Priority will be given to students who:

ŸKnow Minnanhua

ŸAre interested in history



The position will average 5-10 hours of work a week and will pay 30 RMB per hour. Most of the work time will be flexible and for much of it, the student will keep track of their own hours. The Assistant may be asked to:

ŸFind library sources (books, articles, etc.)

ŸTranslate documents

ŸOrganize files

ŸSummarize articles

ŸAssist in reading Chinese (or teach Chinese)

ŸProofread Chinese documents

ŸPossible assistance with class work (for example, grading)
